Which heirloom weapon for monk
There are many types of Heirloom Trinket with a variety of different effects. Different roles and even classes and specs will benefit the most from different Trinkets. We have listed some of the stand-out ones here, but we encourage you to experiment and to pick Trinkets that fit your playstyle. This guide has been written by Azortharion , a theorycrafter of all things Hunter-related for many years.
He is an accomplished player with dozen of top parses for all specs throughout the game's history. He even has his own personal Discord channel where you can get notifications about when the guides get updated and have direct communications with him.

Browser titles tab titles reflect the release that the page is written for. Enchanting them with Spirit or Agility will make them even more worthwhile. Intellect gear is another option to consider when choosing gear. Another factor to consider is if the monk is a Brewmaster or a Mistweaver. The Brewmaster will be more likely to use a staff or pole arm. The Mistweaver will use a mace or ax. Bear in mind that they can use both at one time.
Monks seem to use agility more than strength so I am leaning towards the maces. However, the sword have parry and also I have the Nimble Fingers racial as a gnome which should give me expertise with the swords.

A bunch less speed though, but I don't know if weapon speed even affects a Monk's fighting. Post by This post was from a user who has deleted their account. Post by Thror Well said, but the OP here appears to have enough JP to afford a purchase or two, and he is interested in kinda low level min-maxing. In which case, I have to disagree with one thing said here.
They don't actually. So it's a fairly equal choice.
