Animal parade where to buy fodder
User Info: Dragontrainer The circus comes every month so there isn't a rush. In fact there isn't a rush for anything in this harvest moon. It's pretty laid back and you can take your time. Theodore will give you the recipes for his animals, and you won't have all the ingredients for awhile anyway. You only get one chance on that day. I think he even gives you the brush. You can buy grass or just by the fodder from the ranch at that point.
Don't have to water grass. Don't have to water trees. At least I not the big ones you start with. The saplings maybe? You plant the grass on your farmland but you might want that space for more crops so dont plant too much grass.
Yes if you let them outside then each animal will eat a patch by the end of the day so each animal will need a patch of grass. This includes chickens. You should know though, that cutting a piece of grass with the sickle will produce 4 fodder. But chickens only eat grass outside, they eat feed inside, not fodder.
Like I stated in my other topic, make sure before bed that they do not have a hungry symbol. If they do hand feed them. And since I didn't know at first, here's another fact. Chickens and ducks only lay eggs when inside, so put your animals inside before bed as well. Alright, thanks a lot! Few more questions. I suppose each seed you buy is for ONE square, right? It's not like before that you bought a bag that had 6 or whatever seeds in it?
Do animals only eat full grown grass or just any kind of grass? Can I make this like ToT and let my animals out in the morning, keep them out all day so they can hopefully eat , then bring them in at night so they can produce their goods?
And if they didn't end up eating, just hand feed them? Or is there any downside to that? Say I had 3 squares of grass and one cow. If I let the cow out when all three were at the highest growth, would the cow only be fed for three days?
Or as long as there is grass and my cow is outside, she will eat? Like, does it HAVE to be full grown? As for the circus Cuz I was like DX I wanted to double check I can do it whenever. Also, I did take the cow and I bought grass seeds. So I suppose if I let her out while it's still in the seed stage she won't eat, right? I'm just curious about the grass mechanics. I'll probably just harvest grass the first little bit then let the animals graze later in the game when I need more time to do other things.
We'll see. But I never remember which patches were full grown when I see they have been eaten. No downside doing things that way. In fact that's exactly what you should do with letting them out to feed, bringing them in, hand feeding those who are hungry, and ending the day. When it's eaten it goes to its shortest height like when you cut it.
So yes, grass must be grown to be eaten. Whether it can be dark green of 2 days or light green of 1 day, I dunno for sure. He comes every month. If you let it grow then let her out, you'll notice at the end of the day that a patch is short showing it's been eaten. User Info: LostZodiac You can still do the quest without the circus. She was walking by and noticed the Blue Bird was around. She suggests you chase after it because you can use the feather to propose.
